We all have definite concerns about the environment, but we need to do business and carry on with our day to day lives as well. It might seem impossible to be able to do this whilst also being kind to our planet, but Absolutely have come up with the ideal solution; we are now using electric vehicles for some of our deliveries, and we’re planning to use them more and more as time goes on.
So why are electric vehicles such a good idea? Here are just some of the reasons that we are keen to have them in our fleet.
Electric vehicles give off less pollution, so the environment is more protected. Harmful air pollution is cut because there are no exhaust emissions (absolutely zero). If more vehicles were replaced by electric ones, the planet would certainly be in a much healthier state.
When we charge our electric vehicles, we can use renewable energy to do so. Something like solar power that would power our electricity source and then charge the vehicle would be ideal, making it one of the cleanest ways to travel and do business. Although we can’t use this kind of energy just yet, it is something that we want to move towards in the future.
Some electric courier vehicles are made out of recycled materials. The Nissan Leaf and the Ford Focus are both examples of this. How much better can it get? Not only is pollution no longer leaked into the environment, but the manufacturing of these superb vehicles reduces waste and pollution too.
An electric vehicle has much lower running costs than a standard van or car has. Lower costs to us mean lower costs to our customers, but we will still be offering the same great service you have always had.
Electric vehicles need a lot less maintenance than standard vehicles, and that means they will be off the road less often, enabling us to do more with the time we have, and our services can increase in quality and scope.
Finally, electric vehicles have health benefits associated with them too. As they emit zero carbon emissions, they won’t be triggering asthma or causing breathing problems, particularly in young children.
